Set within the Archerfield Estate in East Lothian, The Renaissance Club has become one of Scotland’s most prestigious golf destinations, hosting world-class tournaments such as the Scottish Open. Known for its championship course and discreet luxury accommodation, the club required a heating solution that was robust, sustainable, and unobtrusive – delivering reliable comfort to elite guests and professional athletes.
The brief was to provide a system capable of meeting demanding performance and efficiency targets while respecting the character of the estate. Comfort had to be seamless and silent, in line with the club’s long-term strategy to embed sustainability and reduce carbon emissions.
SAV Systems supplied two decentralised energy centres with Scotland’s first DELTA-HP2 R290 air source heat pumps. Their quiet, modular design delivers up to 70°C hot water without bulky plant equipment, while natural refrigerant R290 ensures low environmental impact. Combined with Danfoss HIUs, thermal stores, and KURVE smart billing, the system provides efficient heating, accurate monitoring, and flexible payment options.
The integration of SAV Systems’ advanced low-carbon technologies at The Renaissance Club has delivered a future-proof solution that aligns luxury hospitality with environmental responsibility. Guests enjoy uninterrupted comfort in a tranquil setting, while operators benefit from a reliable, adaptable, and efficient system.
