Continuous Professional Development
This hands-on technical training program focuses on advanced commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and performance optimization for SAV Systems products—specifically Danfoss Heat Interface Units (HIUs), energy meters, and heat network controls.
Unlike theoretical design-focused CPDs meant for consultants, this is a practical product training course tailored for field-based installation and service personnel. It provides actionable knowledge for on-site troubleshooting, component replacement, hydronic balancing, and fine-tuning HIUs for low return temperatures.
HIU Mechanics & Controls: Operation and calibration of differential pressure controllers, thermostatic/electronic control valves, and heat exchangers.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identifying cause-and-effect issues like temperature creep, passing valves, and high return temperatures ($T_2$).
Commissioning & Flushing: Correct flushing techniques, strainer maintenance, and setting primary/secondary flow rates.
Smart Metering & Telemetry: Configuring Kamstrup energy meters, M-Bus connections, and diagnostic readouts.
This course is designed for heating and plumbing engineers, commissioning technicians, mechanical contractors, maintenance engineers, and local authority or housing association service teams responsible for maintaining heat network installations.
Location: Delivered via dedicated practical sessions at SAV Systems training facilities or organized on-site for engineering teams.
Duration: Full-day or half-day practical workshop formats depending on module depth.
Booking: You can register interest or request a training session directly on the SAV Advanced Service Engineer Training page.
