SAV welcomes new Code for Heat Networks

SAV Systems has welcomed the recently launched Code of Practice for Heat Networks, which has been created with input from SAV. Developed jointly by the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), CP1 Heat Networks: Code of Practice is expected to raise the standards for district heating and central plant systems in the UK. It will do this by providing guidance on best practice system design. Lars Fabricius, Managing Director of SAV and a member of the ADE/CIBSE steering committee, commented: “One of the key elements of this new Code is the emphasis on maximum flow and return temperatures for radiator circuits of 70°C and 40°C respectively. This is something that we have been promoting through our 70/40 campaign for some time as part of our ‘Waste Not, Want Not’ programme to reduce energy waste.” Visit the CIBSE website for further information.
