SAV specified for Bromley by Bow redevelopment

SAV Systems has won a contract to supply LoadTracker combined heat and power (CHP) units to supply residential apartments being constructed in the first phase of the Bromley by Bow North redevelopment in East London. Phase 1 (Hancock Road) of this development by East Thames Group and Southern Housing Group will create 219 residential units and over 1,000m2 of commercial space, constructed by Higgins Construction on a brownfield site alongside the River Lea.

The residential accommodation will be supplied with heating and domestic hot water by three LoadTracker XRGI 20 CHP units, each with a capacity of up to 20kWe/40kWth. Crucially, unlike fixed output CHP units, LoadTracker units modulate to track demand, thereby maximising run times and energy efficiency. SAV was specified for the project on the basis of the quality of the products and the company’s proven track record in providing exceptional technical support from design stage through to commissioning and ongoing operation.

Big Ideas and Bold Conversations

In the afternoon, we welcomed guests to the CIBSE Heat Network Symposium at Manor Place.

There were expert talks on heat network design, new rules and regulations, and how to make things better for residents.

We also had a lively panel discussion with industry leaders and a chance to meet others working in the sector over food and drinks.
