The Danfoss FlatStation includes several protective features designed to ensure safe and reliable operation. Notably, it has a built-in shock absorber specifically designed to prevent damage from water hammer, which can occur when water flow is suddenly stopped or changed. Additionally, the unit features a built-in mechanical keep-warm function that maintains the system at approximately 8°C below the set point, and it is fully insulated with an EPP cover that minimises heat loss within the Heat Interface Unit itself.

Danfoss FlatStation Heat Interface Units have a maximum supply temperature of 99°C and a maximum nominal pressure of 16 bar for thermostatic models, with electronic models capable of handling up to 25 bar. The units feature a maximum differential pressure rating of 6 bar for thermostatic versions and 16-20 bar for electronic versions.
