The Project

A refurbishment of an existing leisure centre complex to bring the facilities up to modern standards.

To provide a heating/ hot water system that would be less expensive to run than conventional boilers.

The solution

Supplied and installed one 15kWe/30kWth LoadTracker CHP unit to provide 60% of site heating and hot water demand.

Features

  • LoadTracker automatically modulates electrical output, which minimizes unnecessary grid electricity consumption.
  • Long service intervals (8,000 hours or 2 years).
  • Provides on-site energy generation through the development of a new CHP distribution network.

45 tonnes of CO2 emissions could be reduced by installing a CHP system relative to a conventional mains supply/ gas boiler system.

This is an equivalent 12% reduction of CO2 emissions.
