SAV engineers achieve heat networks accreditation

Three employees from SAV Systems have been accredited as CIBSE Registered Heat Network Consultants, verifying they have the required skills to implement the Heat Networks: Code of Practice for the UK. The SAV engineers who have successfully completed the course and are now listed on the CIBSE Heat Networks register are John Gunn, Silas Flytkjaer and Dmitry Mostovoy.

John Gunn commented: “Heat networks will play a significant role in the UK’s low carbon future so it’s essential they are designed to deliver maximum efficiency through adherence to the best practice detailed in the Code. This certification gives SAV’s clients the confidence that we can provide expert support for every aspect of their heat network projects.”The Code has been developed by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE), with support from the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC). It is designed to provide clear and measurable outputs for heat networks and accreditation requires individuals to attend a three day course followed by an examination.
