Introducing the CPD Trilogy: Integrating Heat Pumps into Heat Networks currently presented online via Teams. The seminar was met with roaring success and positivity from 1500 attendants. CPD 1 - Integrating Heat Pumps: Building Design 60/30
This CPD seminar guides it attendants on Integrating Heat Pumps in Building Design. It aims to show its attendants how to ensure Heat Pump performance when designing a building. It also investigates the required temperatures and advises on the best CAPEX/OPEX balance. The CPD is the first of a trilogy on integrating heat pumps.
What issues will be covered?
This CPD will cover the basics of heat pumps and go into depth on.
- The principles of a heat pump refrigerant circuit
- Heat pump efficiency – COP and SCOP
- Plant room peak sizing and plants selection (using an example of an apartment block with 150 residences)
- Heat pump buffer functions
- LTHW design with heat pump, CHP and boiler
The CPD will also compare two design choices and use case studies.
CPD 2 - Integrating Heat Pumps: Design and Sizing for 60/30 Buildings
This CPD seminar guides it attendants on Design and Sizing for a 60/30 building. It aims to show its attendants how to integrate heat pumps correctly in a 60/30 building by advising on the design and sizing of emitters, pipes and domestic hot water temperatures. The CPD is the second of a trilogy on integrating heat pumps.
What issues will be covered?
- This CPD will touch on the basics of heat pumps and go into further depth on:
- How to integrate heat pumps correctly.
- How to achieve the 30-degree return for the heat pump
- The sizing to achieve 30-degree return
- The consequences downstream of the central plant.
- The choice of tapping temperatures, radiators, underfloor heating and pipe sizing.
The CPD will also provide real life examples and scenarios.
CPD 3 - Integrating Heat Pumps: Achieving 60/30
This CPD seminar guides it attendants on commissioning and monitoring for a 60/30 building. It explains how you can ensure Heat Pump performance when designing a building. It also investigates how you can commission and monitor Heat Networks to operate at 60/30. The CPD is the third and final CPD in a trilogy on integrating heat pumps.
What issues will be covered?
- System vital statistics from the energy centre
- Commissioning the HIU
- Space heating and DHW
- Understanding the distribution network
- Ongoing monitoring and keeping it simple
What is the format of these seminars?
