CPD – HVAC Modules

CPD - HVAC Modules

Improved Methods for Flow Distribution, Commissioning and Energy Metering. Ever since 1999 when Commissioning Modules were introduced, SAV Systems has been at the forefront in developing well-designed solutions for use in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems. Improvements in flow control have contributed to reductions in system energy usage, simplification of commissioning and better response times. This seminar will provide attendees with an update on all of these, and more. The objective is to leave you in a position to take the lead in discussing any of these issues, in a project scenario.

What issues will be covered?

Initial focus will be on issues raised by the recent BSRIA Design Guide “Energy Efficient Pumping Systems”. Seminar content is wide-ranging, and includes (but is by no means limited to) the following:

  • Key features of variable flow systems
  • Reasons for optimizing valve authority
  • Techniques for compliance with CIBSE Commissioning Code W
  • Solutions for flow distribution to FCUs and AHUs
  • Strategies for energy metering

This CPD Seminar is designed for building services mechanical consulting engineers, energy managers and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system designers. The workshop format provides an interactive learning environment and has been refined from many similar seminars.

What is the format of the seminar?

SAV’s CPD Courses are informal, and questions are always welcome. Content is experience-based and is drawn from several hundred HVAC installations that SAV has contributed to over the previous decade. Seminars can be held at your premises, or any other venue of your choice. They are often held during lunchtime and have an average duration of 1 hour. Back-up material will be made available to consolidate learning.
