SAV Systems’ Watchman energy management service meets a growing need to track and analyse the energy usage in buildings, to help ensure that their energy systems are optimised and operating at maximum efficiency.

Watchman delivers AM&T (Automatic Monitoring and Targeting) requirements, and provides a 24/7 remote sentinel system.

Continuous monitoring of performance against either target, budget or benchmark helps to reduce energy consumption. Energy meter readings along with weather compensation and flow/return water temperatures are key Watchman focus points.

As well as providing simple, accurate and individually tailored bills, Watchman produces typical energy savings of between 20-50%, dramatically reducing carbon footprint and the cost of building services management.

Inclusion of aM&T within a building produces a better energy rating under Building Regulations Part L. This means that building owners can expect to benefit from higher re-sale values.

Watchman Energy Metering

This service is in line with CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) TM39 regarding Building Energy Metering, which states: “To reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, building designers should incorporate sub-metering in new designs so that systems can be managed properly.” TM39 offers guidance and advice on of cost effective measurement and estimation options for sub-metering which are appropriate for energy monitoring .
