FlatStation Heat Interface Units (HIUs):
Low Carbon Solutions for District
Heating and Central Plant Systems
What’s in it for attendees?
For those attendees unfamiliar with FlatStation HIUs, the session aims to provide a good understanding of the underlying district heating and central plant principles. The veterans can develop any of the finer points which they would like clarification of.
SAV will bring their hands-on practical experience of several hundred successful projects on which FlatStations have been incorporated. All things being equal, every attendee should come away from the seminar with their knowledge base enhanced.
What issues will be covered?
The seminar agenda will include:
- Variable flow systems for saving energy
- The challenges of fluctuating pressures in the system
- How to secure accurate temperature control
- Integration of renewable sources
- Selection of FlatStation HIUs for different apartment types
- Application of coincidence factors to secure plant cost reductions
- How to incorporate metering and data collection
This FlatStation HIU Seminar is designed for building services mechanical consulting engineers, energy managers and LTHW system designers. The workshop format provides an interactive learning environment, and is aimed at bringing up to date with the practicalities of FlatStation applications
What is the format for the seminar?
SAV Seminars are informal, and questions are always welcome. They can be held at your premises, or any other venue of your choice.
Consultants often suggest that these be held during lunchtime, with target duration of 1 hour. Back-up material will be made available to consolidate learning.
